Everyone can play a role in making the co-op safe from violence and harassment. Through examples, we’ll learn about the responsibilities and duties of members, board members and managers, as well as the programs you can put in place to identify and minimize the risk of violence and harassment in your co-op. We’ll describe how to conduct an “appropriate” investigation and identify where to find additional help to understand this important issue.

We are bringing back Jennifer Threndyle of Workplace Safety and Prevention Services (WSPS) to present her workshop on workplace violence and harassment for co-op staff.

Jennifer has also presented this workshop to the CHF Canada Co-operative Management Conference.

This is an issue that needs to be dealt with on a regular basis. CoAction has decided to bring her back as a refresher for any staff who have not had the opportunity to engage in this excellent workshop. It will also be a good place to talk about shared experiences.
