Co-ops are thinking about how to upgrade units to make them more accessible. This is becoming part of regular capital replacement plans. Co-ops are redeveloping units and, in some cases, creating new units. Accessibility should be part of the planning process for any of these activities.
David will take you through the process of incorporating accessibility requirements in your Asset Management Plans. What is needed from Building Condition Assessments? What are the standards that need to be met? What kinds of features are available?
These and other questions related to accomplishing the work of making our co-ops accessible will be addressed?
